Wow first month of school almost finished

Well, the first month of the school year is approaching an end.  It has been a great start for the Maltby  Bands although trying to put the final touches on instrument fittings for 5th grade and a field trip for 6th grade  has made things quite busy!  

Coming up in the next month there are a few things  on which to pay attention: 
1.  Fund-raiser  
The annual fund-raiser for the bands will begin next week on Thursday and Friday.  The permission slip was sent home in the band handbook on the first day of band.  Additional copies may be found on this site or in the band room.  

2.  Tag Day
The annual Tag Day scholarship fund-raiser will take place later in the month.  The paperwork to sign up for the event will come home this week.   Tag Day is a booster operated fund-raiser that earns scholarship $ for our band students.  The $125 scholarships are available for students  (who work Tag Day)  to help pay for private lessons and summer music camp tuition.  Your child must participate in Tag Day in order to apply for a scholarship.  Please give this activity some consideration as it is a wonderful program that supports our band students.
