5th Grade Band Performances
Performance is an important part of participating in a musical activity and serves as the culminating event of a unit. 5th grade band students participate in 3 concerts per year. The first one is a demonstration concert in January which is followed by a more advanced demonstration concert in March. These two concerts happen in the Maltby Gym. The final concert is a shared concert with the 6th grade band that occurs in late May and takes place in the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA).
Please note that all band concerts in Brighton Area Schools begin at 7pm.
Concerts at Maltby tend to last 30-40 minutes depending on the event. The late May Finale Concert is slightly longer due to having two groups performing.
